The staff, students, and parents of Windemere Park Charter Academy (WPCA) are proud of the tradition of academic success. Windemere continues to excel in the standardized assessment given by the State of Michigan (MEAP) and the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA), a National Heritage Academies assessment administered to the students three times a year. Students continue to outperform elementary and middle schools in our surrounding communities and the state of Michigan. For example, the percentage of WPCA students deemed proficient on the MEAP assessment surpassed the state’s average scores in 26 of 27 tested areas.
The academic success of WPCA is based on a dedicated, hardworking, and committed instructional staff. It is through a careful collaboration with parents and community that we are able to “challenge each child to achieve.” When fulfilled, this means college opportunites for students who attend Windemere Park. Our vision is to better educate more children in order to truly make an impact on the lives of families and communities. We are proud to report that 95% of parents responding to the Parent Satisfaction Survey report “Overall Satisfaction” with our school and 96% of parents responding are likely to recommend our school to others.
